Dedicated to Keeping You Informed
In an effort to better inform and educate our Edmonton patients, Bonnie Doon Dental Clinic has assembled a list of our most frequently asked questions. Should you not find the answer to your specific question listed below, please feel free to contact our office for immediate assistance!
A. You should plan to visit the dentist at least every six months for a check-up. However, if you’re a smoker, diabetic, or a person with gum disease or a weakened immune system, it’s recommended you visit more often than that to ensure you remain in optimal health.
Q. What’s the appropriate age range for orthodontics
A. Orthodontics are a good solution for patients of all ages, from children to seniors. You’re never too old or too young to fix alignment issues and gaps between your teeth. Please pay a visit to our office to determine if they’re a viable option for you.
Q. What’s the appropriate age to bring my child in for their first dental visit?
A. As your child’s baby teeth begin to come in, regular visits are essential to ensure they’re coming in properly and to foster the importance of dental care to your child. A positive dental experience at an early age can go a long way to establishing a lifetime of healthy habits.
Q. Does your office provide direct billing?
A. Yes, we deal with insurance companies directly whenever possible for your convenience. We accept most approved insurance dental plans in Alberta. View our Finances/Insurance page for more details.
Q. Do I have to have an appointment to be seen by one of your dentists?
A. While appointments are recommended, they are not always necessary. Open seven days a week with extended hours and several dentists and hygienists on staff, our office is usually able to accommodate both dental emergencies and walk-ins. If possible, please phone ahead to ensure our availability.
