We Have Five Dentists and Two Hygienists
Bonnie Doon Dental Clinic has been located in Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre for over 30 years now. We have five dentists and two hygienists on staff to take care of our patients’ needs. We offer a comfortable atmosphere for multi generations with features such as wheelchair accessibility, kids’ corner, waiting area and TVs in every room.
Extended Hours and Direct Insurance Billing
Our office is open during extended hours, including weekends, to accommodate dental emergencies. We accept most approved dental plans, and we deal with the insurance companies directly, whenever possible. We offer direct billing to most dental plans and accept all government-assisted plans. Dr. Herbert Au
Dr. Herbert Au attended the University of Alberta, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. Since then, he has been practicing at the Bonnie Doon Dental Clinic (for the past 19 years) as a general dentist. During this time, he has treated patients of all ages and needs. His goal is to treat patients with dental emergencies as soon as possible so they can be relieved from their discomfort and have their function restored. He is fluent in English and Cantonese.
Dr. James Quon
James graduated from the University of Alberta's School of Dentistry in 2011 and then completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He also has his Masters in Public Health, and previously worked as a health behaviour researcher. In his spare time, he likes to run trails and cycle the roads around Alberta.
Dr. Hitu Punj
Dr. Punj is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s dentistry program. She is a General Dentist. She believes in providing a comforting environment for patients of all age groups. She stays up to date on the latest dental technologies. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Dr. Ivan Chin
Dr. Chin graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1991. He has been practicing in Edmonton for 29 years. He has a passion for emergency dental treatment and currently works in a variety of clinics.
Dr. Jonathan Kuang
Dr. Kuang graduated from Boston University in 2017 and worked at a community health centre for two years. He moved back to Edmonton in 2019 and wanted to continue giving care to the community. In his free time, he likes to kickbox and bake!
